In case you missed it, we’ve taken this month of IMI live!!!

Our business coach challenged us last week – I should say he challenged me since I was being resistant to his coaching – to do Facebook Live every weekday for the month of September.

I have been resistant to doing this because it was out of my comfort zone and would require a more strategic approach then my usual twice weekly IMI videos.

Well, I have completed four sessions of Facebook Live this week covering training the older client with osteoarthritis of the spine.

This week on Facebook Live we covered:

  • Monday – Forming Habits for Improved Client Success
  • Tuesday – Why Your Older Clients Develop Osteoarthritis
  • Wednesday – A Simple Assessment for Clients with Osteoarthritis
  • Thursday – Go-to Corrective Exercise Pattern for Training Clients with Spinal Osteoarthritis

The first few videos were a little rough however the last couple I tightened up the content a bit so please be patient if you start with Monday or Tuesday’s video 😉

If you missed them, you can view all 4 videos here.

Today, I’ll be covering:

  • Friday – Functional Exercise Progression for Training Clients with Spinal Osteoarthritis

Catch us live today on Facebook Live at 1:15pm CST.

And don’t worry if you are not available at the scheduled time. All videos are recorded and will be posted on our Fitness Education Seminars Facebook page.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive, practical, and applicable approach to training the older client with osteoarthritis, then consider joining us and 19 of your like-minded colleagues in Phoenix or Chicago this fall.

If you’re looking to help your older clients change their long-standing posture and movement habits so they can feel better, move better and accomplish the things they need, want, and love to do then this program is for you.

The Integrative Corrective Exercise Instructor Certification Program is a 3-day intensive program designed to specifically teach you how to work with the older adult population – the baby boomers and seniors.

During this intensive workshop, we teach you how to identify and address long-standing posture and movement habits so that you help your older clients move towards accomplishing their health and fitness goals.

  • DAY 1:
    • Osteoarthritis of the spine
    • Corrective Exercise for training the core in older individuals with osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis
    • Functional training progressions for the core

  • DAY 2:
    • Osteoarthritis of the hips
    • Corrective Exercise for training older individuals with hip osteoarthritis and hip replacements
    • Functional training progressions for the lower body

  • DAY 3:
    • Osteoarthritis of the shoulders and neck
    • Corrective exercise for older individuals with forward head and shoulder posture
    • Functional training progressions for the upper body

You will leave understanding how to work with and how to attract older clients that want, need, and will pay for your services!

Not sure if this program is right for you and the clients you serve?

Here’s what a previous attendee Jackie had to say about the Integrative Corrective Exercise Instructorcertification program:

“I first heard Dr. Osar present at the FAI Summit in June 2016.  He was passionate, inspiring, and left me wanting to learn as much as possible about his corrective exercise techniques.  In February 2017 I was fortunate to be able to travel to attend Dr. Osar and Jenice’s Integrative Corrective Exercise Instructorcertification program for Boomers & Seniors.

This hands-on workshop was chocked full of advanced training strategies that were presented in a manner that was relatable, enjoyable, and I was able to immediately return to my studio and implement them with my clients.  Each time I have a chance to learn from Dr. Osar and Jenice I jump at the opportunity.  They are truly gifted educators and practitioners and I highly recommend following and learning from them especially if you are dedicated to working with aging populations.”

We are offering the Integrative Corrective Exercise Instructor Certification Program two more times this year:

Still on the fence as to whether this program is right for you and your older clients?

My sister and her husband live just outside of Houston and our good friend and colleague Jackie B. who I mentioned above lives right in Houston. Luckily they are safe and well.

Our prayers go out to all those individuals in the Houston area that have been affected by the storm.

And we’ll be keeping an eye and our prayers on those in the Southeast part of the country as they brace for a hurricane.

You can donate to help those affected by the hurricane however, please ensure you are donating to legitimate organizations such as:

  • Red Cross: Visit redcross.org or call 1- 800-RED CROSS
  • Salvation Army: The Salvation Army’s Hurricane Harvey relief efforts can be made at helpsalvationarmy.org or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY

We donated via Red Cross and it is super easy to do on-line.
