Why Being on Purpose Will Help Your Clients with Foot Issues

One of the most important things you can do to make 2019 your best year ever – to impact more lives, to attract more individuals into your business, to accomplish your goals – is to be on purpose.

Purpose is the reason or ‘why’ you do what you do and why anybody else should care.

In last week’s edition of IMI, I shared with you the first lesson you can take from the winningest Superbowl coach/QB duo – Bill Belichick and Tom Brady – in NFL history.

STOP!

Before you turn away because you don’t care about football or don’t think this applies to you, please recognize that these are the exact same principles that every successful businessman, parent, teacher, spiritual leader, and visionary leader uses to impact the lives of the individuals they are leading.

Lesson #2. Be on Purpose

In Lesson #1, I shared how the New England Patriots know their purpose…their purpose is simple:

To prepare themselves at the highest level to win Championships.

Being on purpose is really about doing the most important things every single day to accomplish your goals.

I love the quote by Coach Bill Belichick: “Just do your job.”

You need to get up every single day and know what your most important job (responsibility) is for that day…

…and then be relentless about getting it done.

In other words, do your (most important) job!

There are no TV, social media, or mindless activities allowed until you get the most important things done for the day.

To give you an example, my first priority every single day is to begin my day with meditation and writing in my journal.

Nothing else happens until I get those two things done.

The next most important thing is to write my the latest edition of  IMI – like I’m doing here 🙂 – and/or post on our business social media accounts.

Only then, will I will allow myself to look at my email inbox or troll around social media looking at nonsensical things… I like silly cat videos too 😉

Take home lessons for you about Being on Purpose:

  1. Prioritize your day. Don’t allow daily ‘stuff’ to happen to you and get you off course.
  2. Next, create a daily routine that helps you focus on and accomplish the most important things related to your purpose.
  3. Show up tomorrow and the next day, etc. and repeat the process.
